Irresistible in the Garden

It was really difficult to get a good picture of this card! As you know, I'm a big fan of yellow, so of course I had to try Crushed Curry on the Irresistibly Yours DSP! Then I thought the little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack coordinated so well with the flowers on the print, so I added a few punched from vellum scraps. I used the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to color tiny pearls for the center of each punched flower.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is really the star of the show here, so I let it shine! This paper is so versatile! Make sure you get yours before Sale-a-bration is over!

Calypso Celebration

I love the Sale-a-bration set Big Day! So easy to make birthday cards with, and that's what I make the most.

For this card, I was brave and used circles instead of banners. {wink} It really changes the look of the set, don't you think? I used the Starburst Framelits to cut out the main sentiment, then a plain Circle Framelit to mat it. Those little Calypso Coral Pompoms are so fun! The trim is a little bit stretchy, and they just add a yummy texture element to any card. I used the Calypso Coral Blendabilities to color a couple of the words, a few sequins for bling, and the wonderful Best Year Ever DSP (SAB).

A fun card that went together quickly!

Irresistible Baby--with a pompom!

Another sample with the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper, available only during Sale-a-bration. I sponged Pistachio Pudding in an ombre effect, then used the One Tag Fits All set to create the tag.

The pompom was so fun to make! I used Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker's Twine and the Whisper White and Wild Wasabi Cotton Twines from the Painted Blooms pack. The pompom adds a lot of texture, and I think that makes for a fun card!

Golden Curry Birthday and a sketch

In all my experimenting while making cards for last night's Stamp Club meeting, I left quite a few "bits & pieces" around my craft room. So one day this week, while cleaning up, I got distracted trying to use this 4 1/4" square card with a piece of Best Year Ever DSP (SAB). Magically, I saw the Freshly Made Sketches challenge here:
and everything clicked! The stamps are from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit--some of my favorite stamps ever! I combined them with the One Tag Fits All tag image, as well as the coordinating Note Tag Punch. A few little bits of gold to make it sparkle, and this card was done! Funny how some cards take forever, and others just fall into place!

One of my goals this year was to make time every day to stamp. I haven't hit every day, but I have hit *most* days, and the result was just what I expected: more ideas, more inspiration, more creating, and more mess. Ha!

Black & White Bows

I'm a bit stuck on this color combination right now: Black, White, and Coastal Cabana. Yummy!  I'm trying to channel my "hungry" into crafting, so, yummy colors, it is!

We'll be making this card tonight at Stamp Club, and I can't wait for everyone to try this punch! So fun, so easy, and so *tiny*!!!

Would like to join a stamp club??? Let me know if you're interested!

Celebrating with Sale-a-bration

I've spent quite a bit of time playing with the Sale-a-bration set "Big Day" lately. As you know, I'm always in need of more birthday cards, and this is an easy set to use! I got stuck on banners at first, as you can see in this first sample here, but I did eventually move on!

I wanted to use the Sale-a-bration DSP "Best Year Ever" to make a masculine birthday card. Many of the patterns have Calypso Coral in them, which is pretty decidedly a pink in my book. This pattern really stood out, though, first because I love Crushed Curry, and second because NO PINK!

The burlap gives it texture and a reassuring manliness, don't you think? Just in case a guy received it and thought, "Is this really manly enough?" Burlap--make it manly.

Wood you be mine???

Now that it's officially February, I'm itching to share all the Valentine cards I've been making! This is such a fun set for making cards for the man in your life! My husband has lots of woodchopping in his past, as well as a few lumberjacks in his family history. This set is perfect for him!

It's a photopolymer set, which makes it easy to "layer" the shirt over the main lumberjack image or the forest  images over each other.
