Diamond birthday

Another easy birthday card today, featuring my favorite Color Me Autumn DSP. I thought this pattern looked more masculine, so I designed this one for one of my brothers. The greeting is from Four You, a set I find myself reaching for often for cards like this! The leaf is from the Fun Fall Framelits, which comes with a matching stamp set. You can see the dies here. Aren't they darling? I'm a sucker for anything with leaves, so this set makes me happy! The pearls on the banner are colored with Early Espresso Blendabilities.

Gift card framelit--happy acorn version

Do you give a lot of gift cards? I do, particularly to males in my extended family. When I first saw the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits (whew! long name!) in the Holiday Catalog, I knew it needed to come to my house. These go together so quickly, and I love that I can make a somewhat impersonal gift a *little* more special.

For this version, I used the Color Me Autumn DSP for the main envelope. You will want to use the Crease Pad to do this, as the DSP is thin enough that the die cuts through the score lines. The "Happy Day" sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set--one I go back to again and again. The matching Bitty Banners framelits (what else?) make it easy and quick.

Christmas is coming quickly, and if you'll be giving gift cards, think about adding the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits to your next order!

Birthday Acorns--it's only the beginning

Another card made with my favorite pattern from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper!

We have a large number of birthdays in the next month. Really. A LOT of birthdays.

Sister, great nephew, brother-in-law, niece, brother, sister-in-law, another brother-in-law, another brother, mom, daughter, another daughter and my father-in-law. You thought I was exaggerating, didn't you! (I had to list them in date order to keep track.) It's a big family, and we love it.

I need cards and gift card holders, and you'll be seeing them all here. This card will work male or female, and it went together quickly! The little banners are punched from scraps of the Color Me Autumn DSP. Other than that, it's just a stamp, a bit of layering, and a quick doodle with my favorite pens--the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Journaling pens! Make a quick stack of cards using this layout and your favorite designer paper you've been hoarding!

Autumn Acorns

Acorns--who doesn't love them? When I was in grade school, our campus was a very old high school, and we got to play among all the huge old trees. A couple were oaks, so in the fall we would sit and gather piles of acorns. The boys threw them at each other of course, but I just loved the textures of the acorns in my hands.

This paper, Color Me Autumn Designer Series from the Holiday Catalog, reminded me so  much of those days. See that curled ribbon in Cajun Craze??? It's made from very thin strips of cardstock. Details like that make me happy. And you know I'm a sucker for a stamp set with a matching punch! Merry Everything has a stamp for every fall occasion, and the Note Tag Punch is a lovely shape!

What do you love about autumn?

Corny Gift Card Holder

One of my favorite products from the Holiday Catalog is the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits! Whew that's a long name. I give gift cards to my nephews and brothers quite often, so this seemed like the perfect, easy solution.

I love the corn print from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper--I just wanna take a bite out of it! Just cut a 6 inch strip and wrap around the short side of the envelope to hold it closed. The set of thinlits contains the banner, a tag, a heart, and a little "washer" for closing the envelope.

The Lucky Stars embossing folder added just the right amount of texture to the envelope, and the sentiment is from And Many More in the main catalog.
