Work of Art notecard
Sometimes you just need a quick and easy card! I like to have cards like this on hand because they work for birthdays, thank yous, or little notes. After I stamped it, the card seemed unfinished to me, so I added a little doodling and some baker's twine.

Stamps: Work of Art
Paper: Whisper White Notecards
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Coastal Cabana, Black
Accessories: Project Life Journaling Pens, Baker's Twine

Show Me the Deals Friday!
It's Friday, so I thought we'd do a recap of the promotions going on right now.
Have you been thinking of becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? You can do it to bring in a little (or a lot!) extra cash, or just to save 20% on your own purchases. Now until August 28, Stampin' Up! has sweetened the deal! New recruits will receive $150 in their choice of Stampin' Up! products for the $99 starter kit price. You won't have to pay for shipping either! It's a great deal, amazing business opportunity, AND it's only available for a short time!
Contact me with any questions, or go here to sign up on my website. It's quick and easy, and you'll be off and running in no time. If you sign up now, you'll have till December 31 to make your quarterly minimum of $300 (sales to yourself or others), which will include the opportunity to order early from the upcoming Occasions Catalog!
If you still haven't tried the fabulous Paper Pumpkin kits, now is the time! Click here to sign up, then enter the code HALFOFF2 to receive the next two months at half price--only $10 each! You can opt out any time, and a $10 kit would make a lovely gift for a friend or a fun project to do with kids or grandkids.
I've seen the preview of September's kit, and it includes darling burlap bags! Adorable for fall, this Halloween, or anytime! Stamps, an ink spot, sequins . . . you can't go wrong with this kit for $10. This deal expires Sept 10, so don't wait too long!
AUTUMN CARD BUFFET
Finally, please remember that the deadline for signing up for September's Card Buffet is Tuesday, September 9. The fee is $10, and you'll make 4 cards of your choice. Additional cards are just $2 each. I'd love to see you there!

Acetate butterfly and Blendabilities
Please check out my upcoming Card Buffet projects by clicking here!
One last project from the August Stamp Club! We made this cute gift tag with an acetate window colored with Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities. It looks ok in this picture.
Check out this picture, taken outside:
Is that cool or what??? It's a pretty simple tag, but I loved the way the butterfly turned out. One tip: color the acetate completely on the first pass, or let it dry and THEN add more color. Otherwise, the Blendas just move the color around. We also used Blendas on the pearls.
The tag is made of two Deco Label framelits cut from Wisteria Wonder cardstock. The dots and butterfly stamps are from Kinda Eclectic, and the "Thanks" is stamped with my favorite Alphabet Rotary stamp! What luxury! Any word (or phrase) I want!

Dropbox and Flamingo Lingo
The laptop is ordered! Can't wait to have it all set up and fixed to my personal weirdness. Anybody want to do that part???? I'm so glad I had (nearly) everything important stored in my Dropbox files! It's a free online storage site that has saved me many times! I can access the files from any computer or mobile device. If you'd like to sign up, click here, and we'll both receive 500 MB of free space! They don't bug me with emails or anything. I highly recommend Dropbox, even if you don't click my link. ;-)
I love flamingos! If my family let me, I'd have pink flamingos all over the front lawn. (The plastic kind of flamingos, not real ones. Although that would be very cool for me, not so much for the birds.) When I saw this year's Ronald McDonald House Benefit set, Flamingo Lingo, I was so happy! For every Flamingo Lingo set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.Flamingos. Charitable donations. Happy Amy.
We made this card at our August Stamp Club--the 1/4" white cotton ribbon and the Simply Pressed Clay flower are both colored with Melon Mambo Blendabilities!
Fun, fun flamingos. Watch for more (perhaps in less-traditional colors) flamingos in the future!

Colored Congrats
Another Club card today! Did you know you can use Blendabilities markers to color white embossing? We stamped this sentiment (from the photopolymer set Bravo) in Versamark, then added white embossing powder. Heat to set. After it cools, start coloring with any Blendabilities marker! We also colored a rhinestone, but it doesn't show very well in photos.
This technique is such a fun way to add color to a project. If you try it, post a link to your project in the comments!
