Silver Scallop Tree

The idea for folding half a circle (or scalloped circle, in this case) into a tree has been around for awhile. It seems to have made a resurgence this year, and I finally tried it! My only trouble is I kept over-thinking it! Ha! This was a November Club project.

The tree trunk is Smoky Slate Chevron ribbon. It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but the white background is textured with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder. Brushed Silver cardstock adds a little shine to the card, and we used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to add piercing around it. This pack is part of the Holiday Sale (see link in sidebar) -----> and is a GREAT deal right now at $5.96!

Inside of card:
Paper: Island Indigo, Brushed Silver (100712, p156), Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP (132341, Hol29)
Accessories: Big Shot, Stylish Stripes folder (132174, Hol22), Scallop Circle Bigz die (p 192), Smoky Slate Chevron ribbon (131152, p 173), Silver 1/8” ribbon (132137, Hol28), Paper Piercing Tool (126189, p 179), Piercing Mat (126199, p179), Essentials Piercing Pack (126187, p179)

Leafy Tags

I found one more autumn project! Every month, a friend and I visit 4 ladies from church to check on them and get to know them better. We like to take a little giftie, and I've been falling down on that job. This month, I found a bag of leftover leaf diecuts from one of October's club projects and decided to make them into tags! These were quick and easy (about all I can manage these days), and our ladies were very happy to have a little treat.

First I die cut the tags from the Chalk Talk Framelits, then stamped them with the Woodgrain background. The sentiment is from Banner Greetings (hostess, Annual Catalog). Isn't it wonderful how a little tag makes a small gift into something more thoughtful???

Stamps: Banner Greetings (hostess, Annual Catalog 202), Woodgrain
Paper: Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Small cello bags, Pumpkin Pie Chevron Ribbon, Chalk Talk Framelits, Autumn Accents die

Autumn Envelope Punch Box

I think this is the last of my Autumn projects! I'm trying to get them all in before Thanksgiving, even though my craft room is covered in Christmas projects.

The Envelope Punch Board--mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. You need it. Really, really need it. The best thing since cupcakes! This box is made with the Envelope Punch Board--super easy to do! The box holds at least 6 A2 cards and envelopes. You can make boxes to fit any card sets--great gifts for birthdays or . . . Christmas! :-) Or a hostess gift at Thanksgiving.

This one is stamped with Woodgrain in Early Espresso, then decorated with Birch Paper (get it before it's all gone! in the Thankful Tablescape Kit) and leaf die cuts (also from the Tablescape kit). I had to throw a little Gorgeous Grunge stamping at the maple leaf. Can any project really be complete without a little spattering????

To make a box to fit A2 (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) cards:
Cut your paper 9x9. Using EPB, punch and score at 3 1/2, then again at 4 1/2. Turn paper 180 degrees and repeat.
On the two opposing sides, line up the pointer with the score lines and punch and score (twice on each side). Trim your bottom flap off about 3/4 of an inch. Cut off all 4 tiny flaps. Adhere sides and bottom. Make a belly band to hold the box shut.
