Hi! Hope your Christmas holidays have been wonderful! I will be taking the next week off mostly. Our oldest daughter is going away to college the end of this week, and we are enjoying all 8 of us being together.
Remember that Jan 4 is the last day to order from the Holiday Mini! If you're dying for more of that Night & Day paper or anything else, place an order through my online store!
Another fun thing coming up is the Stampin Addicts New Occasions Mini Blog Hop! It starts Friday, so be sure to check it out!
Today I found out that my Secret Elf is . . . .
{drum roll, please}
Trina!
Thank you so much, my dear friend! What a tremendous amount of thought, energy, and talent you put into all the gifts!
Today Trina sent a wonderful llama!!!, a beautiful decorated notebook, another wonderful card, and 3 of those beautiful flowers! It's all so perfect! Thank you for making this such a special Christmas! Sending a big virtual hug your way!
I'm so sad the Secret Elf days are coming to an end! But tomorrow, I get to find out for sure who my wonderful Elf is! Today, my Elf was extremely generous!
She gave me this beautiful Mother's Day card, and a lovely gift card holder! Inside was a gift card to World Market! It's one of my favorite places! My Elf has really been watching and listening to what I love! It touches my heart to know that she cares so much! Thank you, Elf!
I love it! The colors just make me smile! And it's bee-yoo-ti-ful! There was so much stuff inside, I had a hard time fitting it all in the photo:
Many, many die cuts that I don't have! In pretty shimmery white and lots of other wonderful colors, too! And And a gorgeous thank you card, and a little magnetic container of the mini clips from Stampin up! More decorated clips and another adorable little pen! I {heart} office supplies, and this gift is just fabulous! Thank you so much, Christmas Elf!
Just look at this gorgeous tin! It's a gift all by itself! I adore it!
And then, inside:
It's like my elf packaged up my entire wish list! She included 2 cards this time--I'm going to have a year's worth of lovely cards! Sage Shadow Grosgrain (one I didn't have yet!), the white Fleurettes (which I hadn't indulged in yet, either!), 2 Stampin Up window stickers (which I've been wanting *forever*), a Stampin Up logo case (perfect for my business cards!), a snail refill, Multi glue, sticky strip, and dimensionals! You all know how much I use all those adhesives!
Christmas elf, I hope you're reading this! I love *everything*! Thank you for being so generous and thoughtful!
It is very humbling to have a secret elf! She put so much thought and effort and time into all my gifts! Even though I'm not entirely sure who she is yet (I have a pretty good guess!), my love for her has increased as I've seen everything she put into these gifts!
Today, my elf gave me this lovely, lovely decorated tin, and inside is a wonderful stamp set! Thank you so much! I love it!
This is such a thoughtful gift! These beautiful, alterable frames are enough for my whole family! And she cut out letters for each person in my family, too! So sweet! And I love the card, too! Christmas Elf, you are the best! This is soooooooooooo sweet!
I'm showing you the lovely wrappings on all the gifts so you'll know how they've been calling to me ever since they arrived! And here is day 5!
Isn't it just lovely??? And it's so "me"! Love the colors! And drum roll, please . . .
The softest socks ever (they're going on my feet as soon as this blog post is done!), an amazing alterable case (I love stuff like this!), and a handmade box full of notecards! They're perfect! I love it all! Thank you so much, Christmas Elf!
Just the packaging is soooooo lovely! My elf put so much thought and time into each present! I'm amazed, humbled, and grateful!
Here are the goodies:
Three elegant 6x6 cards with yummy chocolate envelopes! and three packages of gorgeous specialty ribbon! Three, hmmmm, are you beginning to notice a pattern like I am??? The first day, my elfie sent *one* beautiful nativity ornament; yesterday, she sent *two* gifts--a gorgeous tag tin and a box of chocolates; and today, everything is in threes!
I love all these ribbons, and they are something I would never have purchased for myself! And the cards are so lovely, I just keep gazing at them! Thank you so much, Christmas elf!
Isn't it yummy??? Can't you just *taste* the chocolate??? What's that? Oh, yes, *I'm* the one tasting the chocolate. {smile} And the gorgeous tags! I love them, and now I don't have to make any more! Yay! And look at that gorgeous tin they came in, with the matching mini-pen! Oh, myyyyyyyy. Chocolate and office supplies--it truly is Christmas! Thank you so much, Christmas Elf!
Like last year, my swap sisters and I decided to do a Christmas secret elf swap! This is one of my favorite things about Christmas! First, the beautiful packaging! Isn't it just wonderful? A handmade box all stamped and shaded and layered and sponged and . . . {sigh of happiness} Every package has a beautiful tag just like this, with the appropriate date stamped on it. She's an artist, my elf!
And THEN, the actual gift!
Isn't it gorgeous???? I collect nativities and nativity ornaments, and this is just perfect for my collection! Thank you so much, Christmas Elf! I love it!
Another Christmas Jingle Kit card. The Real Red scalloped circle is punched, but everything else came directly from the kit! My Christmas cards were so easy put together this year!
Another card from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit, but you could easily make something similar with the Dasher stamp from the back of the catalog!
What could be better than a chocolate Christmas??? This card was made using the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit, the hostess set Christmas Punch, and the Wide Oval Punch. Couldn't be simpler!
I'm still having fun with My Digital Studio! As you can see from the button in the sidebar, I'm certified! (Not certifiable--already had that button.) This is one of the projects I made in order to qualify.
Have you noticed my new banner??? I made it in My Digital Studio, too! It's a great program and lots of fun! If you'd like to learn more, please contact me! Or order it at my Stampin Up Website!
Another card from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit!
The base is Very Vanilla, with a layer of Textured Chocolate Chip. Add a strip of the DSP from the kit and a cardstock element with the sentiment, and you're all done! All you need in addition to the kit is Very Vanilla cardstock and envelopes!
A year ago today, I was praying not to die from a reaction to my asthma inhaler. I couldn't breathe, I dislocated my ribs, and I was unable to get to my dr because it was Thanksgiving.
This year, I am breathing without pain. I rarely need my inhalers. My children are healthy and one year older, and I was here to see it. What a blessing to be alive and breathing! I am thankful that God allowed me to remain here to raise my family.
While my body and mind have paid a price for my illness last year, I am able to do what needs to be done, and for that I am grateful.
I am thankful for my mom--that she too has endured another year and is here to be my children's only grandparent.
I am thankful for my dear husband, who has taken over so many tasks that used to be mine, who has cared for me and worried about me, who is my closest and sweetest friend.
I am thankful for children who challenge me to be a better person than I am, who have grown and matured once again into more loving, more amazing people than they were a year ago.
I am thankful for friends met online and loved in real life. I am thankful for the ability and resources to pursue my stamping passion.
I am thankful for the promise of spring and renewal even in the darkest hours of winter. I am thankful to God and to His Beloved Son for their love and blessings to me and those I love.
For both large and small blessings, this year I give thanks.

Now for what you really want to know--what's on sale!
I completely stole this from JanTink. She's my friend. I *think*.
I mean, I *know* her, and she knows me. We've even spent time together in person. The friend part, well, let's just say it's up in the air.
See, in this post, she purposely tried to convince me I needed the Woodgrain BG stamp. Of course, I already *knew* that, but still! What kind of friend does that????
So I figured I could just copy her stuff and we'd be even. Since she designed it purely to taunt me. Oh, and there's another card coming that copies her, too. Just in the interest of full disclosure. {smile}
I have to tell you, I *love* this project. It will probably go to my Mom for Christmas! LOL I used Silver Encore ink (stamped off, mostly) and Lovely as a Tree on textured Night of Navy cardstock cut at 5 x 12. The letters are die cut with my wonderful Big Shot and Serif Essentials Alphabet dies from Brushed Silver cardstock.
I kept trying to add embellishments, but they just didn't work! It needed to be simple, I guess. We made these last night at my Christmas Giftables class.
This is another gorgeous project from my upline, Margo Kelly! We stamped Medallion in Elegant Eggplant Craft ink, then used Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heatset. Just a warning, if you do this--it took a loooooooong time to get the powder to melt! In the 5-10 minutes range. But so worth it!
My Swappers Anonymous friends held another swap--this time for birthday cards. Because really, who doesn't need birthday cards??? I have too many cards that say "hello" or "life is good," and not enough that say happy birthday!
Anyway, here is my submission for the swap. I used Greenhouse Garden in Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray (oh, it rhymes! I get extra credit) stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. So yummy, that paper!
Then I sponged more Basic Gray around the edges and layered it on textured Bermuda. Layered onto the Night and Day DSP (what will we do when that goes away???? fingers crossed for another black and white DSP) and Basic Black. Then textured Bermuda again, more black, all layered onto a Basic Gray card base. The ribbon is the reverse of the Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Grosgrain.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Black brads added just enough accent, and it's all done! The hardest part was using the Stampamajig for all the flowers. LOL
Thanks to my Swappers Anonymous Sisters for great swaps! Love ya!
This is another project from my upline, Margo Kelly. The Medallion BG is stamped in Craft Real Red, and then embossed with Iridescent Ice. The center is the smaller snowflake in Serene Snowflakes. It's punched, embellished with a rhinestone brad, and popped up on dimensionals!
Last week my upline, Margo Kelly, held a great meeting. This is one of the projects we made! We used craft inks to stamp Flower Fancy right onto the plastic, and then we embossed with clear embossing powder. What a great idea!
This is one of the cards I designed from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit (115696 p 165). I'll be showing quite a few of these over the next few weeks!

Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip Textured, Real Red Textured, Christmas Jingle DSP
Are your Christmas cards ready to go??? Here's another one! I was going for kind of an Asian look, as you can tell by the colors. {smile}
I used the Movers and Shapers Holiday Windows dies (116821, Mini Catalog) to cut the bird out of Brushed Gold (102935, p 159) cardstock. Then I stamped the "Noel" from Many Merry Messages (116586, p 33) in Versamark (102283, p 190) and embossed it in Gold Emboss Powder (109129, p 188).
Where did you get that stamp set, Amy???? That's what you're asking, isn't it! I knew it! Because if there were a Stampin Up stamp set like this, you'd totally own it by now, right??
Wellllllllll, remember this post where I told you about the Bright Blessings Wheel (115626 p 27)???? I shall now reveal my secret! LOL
I cut the rubber off the Jumbo Wheel, cut it apart {gasp}, and mounted it on extra wood blocks! Ta da! A whole new stamp set! For those who want to try it, I used my craft knife to cut along the seam on the rubber. Then I used my trusty Craft and Rubber Scissors (103179, p 191) to cut the rubber into more manageable strips. I used plain old mounting foam (found in the paint/adhesive department at my big box store) as a cushion for my stamps. Lay the rubber (not cut too closely) onto one sticky side of the foam, then cut both the foam and the rubber out and mount them on a wood block! If you like an "index image" on the top of your wood block like I do, you'll want to use StazOn ink to stamp the image onto the block before you actually mount it. {smile}
Find a Jumbo Wheel you think would make a fabulous stamp set, and create your own!

This was our club card for October! I really like it--it's very "me"! We embossed the Old Olive layer with the Big Shot and the Finial Press folder (115963). The leaves are cut with the Leaves #2 die (113459) from Stampin Up's fabulous Wood Sheets (116309) on page 158 of the catalog! After we die cut them, we stamped the leaves with the Sanded BG and then sponged on some more ink to give it a real "leaf" look!
The sentiment is from the Bright Blessings Jumbo Wheel (115626), which I cut up--gasp--and made into a stamp set! I'll show you that another day. {smile} It's a great way to get a LOT of images for a low cost!
If you're like me, and afraid of test tube boxes--try using the Big Shot Box #2 die! I think this turned out really cute! and it wasn't too difficult. I made it basically the same as the Dracula box for my Halloween class.
