They are playing along the ditchbank near the daylilies. :-) We flood irrigate our land once every 10 days, so this little ditch has water about 4 out of every 10 days. This makes the duckies *very* happy! The formerly yellow ducklings are now these "fawn and white" Runner ducks. The little brown ducklings are still brown, but feathered now, not fuzzy. Yes, that's a little red sandbox toy floating in the ditch.
Today we acquired a new duck from one of my daughter's co-workers. It is a Pekin duck, and *much* larger (about twice as big!) as our little ducks! We have named her "Eileen," because she does this funny Border Collie thing when she looks at something: she cocks her head to one side!

So far, the little ducks aren't liking Eileen too much. Which is hilarious, because they are *so* much smaller! We'll see how that goes.
