Introducing Mint Macaron

 Mint Macaron--not macaroon, macaron! (You can click the words to see the difference.)

It's a minty green--fresh and spring-like, also great as a neutral background! Those of you still missing Sage Shadow will be thrilled with the introduction of Mint Macaron. You must promise to pronounce it correctly, though. {wink}

I used my fallback, the beautiful Butterflies Thinlits, to make this delicate card. The sentiment is from one of my favorite sets in the catalog--Sprinkles of Life! It's the Ronald McDonald House set this year, so for every set I sell, Stampin Up will donate $3 to Ronald McDonald House Charities! Win, win, non? (See how I stuck a little more French in there, so the macaron wouldn't feel lonely?) There is a coordinating punch, but we'll get to that later. Today we celebrate Mint Macaron!

The Designer Series Paper you see on the layered butterfly is from the new Envelope Paper: In Color 2015 set. It's a fun, thinner DSP that makes fabulous envelopes, as well as gorgeous butterflies.

I thought it would be fun to show you the new In Colors. Of course, there is no such thing as a "new" color, but tints and shades and all that technical stuff can make a color seem fresh and bright and trendy! Stampin Up chooses the In Colors based on the Pantone projections for hot new colors--the ones you see in home decor, clothing, paper supplies, and more.

Today's focus is Tip Top Taupe. It is featured in the fun new Designer Series Paper Stack "Cherry on Top," just to make it easier to love. I really think we will love this Taupe, as it goes with everything and makes a great neutral! I'm still mourning the retirement of Baked Brown Sugar, and Tip Top Taupe is helping to console me.

Shiny Graduation Stars

We made this card at May's Stamp Club meeting. Doesn't everyone need a graduation card this time of year??? The larger star in the left corner is inset--we die cut the shape from gold foil, then die cut a "nest" for it in the cardstock. It's also a farewell card to one of my favorite colors:  Baked Brown Sugar!
