Brown Sugar Gift Card Holder

Seems like I've been mailing out lots of gift cards lately! I love this holder made from the Stampin Up Pop n Cuts base die. It's just three simple score lines--fast and easy.

With the flat edge of the card base to the left of your Simply Scored, score at 1 inch, 3 3/4 inches, and 8 1/4 inches. Done! Fold on the score lines and the tabs fit into the little slots. I copied the idea from this blog.

To decorate this gift card, I used

Stamps: Label Love (NEW!)
Paper: Quatrefancy Specialty DSP  (NEW!), New In Color Baked Brown Sugar
Ink: Island Indigo, Baked Brown Sugar re-inker
Accessories: SU Pop n Cuts card base, Chevron embossing folder, 2 1/2" circle punch, Artisan Label punch (NEW!), Island Indigo Baker's Twine, and the fabulous NEW Simply Pressed Clay and Button Mold

Here is the inside view. I cut a piece of cardstock 3x4 and rounded the corners. Then I adhered the giftcard with glue dots.

Butterfly in space

We have lots of May birthdays in our family, and usually the females get a set of cards or something handmade. This butterfly card was part of a set that went to my niece, Nicole. 

I've been on a butterfly kick lately--maybe because it's spring! For this card, I punched a butterfly from the top white layer and filled the negative space with Tea Time DSP. A little baker's twine, some pearls and stamping, and it's done! 

The sentiment is from Curly Cute, a set retiring on May 31! Get it while you can. 

Mini Notebooks

My youngest niece turned six recently. She likes to draw. What does every artist need? More paper! I saw this tutorial on Pinterest and thought it was perfect. You can see the details here:

I used retiring Designer Series Papers from the Spring Mini catalog--Sunshine and Sprinkles and More Amore. I think I might need a few of these for myself!

Oh, hey! It's Thursday.

Where do the days go? Ad why can't I get more done? My 8yo often tells me of his plan for a duplicator machine, to make an extra boy to mow the lawn. Perhaps I should look into that. 

This is a card we made at club in May--the set, Best Dad Ever, is retiring the end of this month, so get it while you can!

Epic bookmark

I'm a sucker for a nice bookmark. This one features the new Epic Day DSP and stickers. And Washi tape! Love that stuff!
