For the birds

I am in love with this new set, Aviary! Isn't it darling? This card also uses the teeny-and-cute Itty Bitty Bits set and matching punches and buttons. (Ya gotta love when a whole set of things works together.)

We'll be making another card with this set tomorrow night at club! Be there or be square. :-)

Celebrate!

There is so much to celebrate this time of year! Birthdays, Independence Day, family get-togethers. I'm looking forward to Stampin' Up!'s new catalog that goes live TOMORROW! This is a sneak peek!

The designer paper is from the new Greenhouse Gala pack. I love this print! It reminds me of the flowers my Grandpa used to grow. {sniff, sniff} He was a marvelous gardener!

The card base is also new--Marina Mist, with a layer of Early Espresso. I also used Peach Parfait. The ribbon is new, too! So exciting to have 1/8" taffeta! The greeting is from Matchbox Messages. Can you see the little sparkle? That's my Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz! (say that 3 times fast, I dare ya!)

Hope you find something great to celebrate this week!

Bookmark in Pink and Red

I'm kind of on a bookmark-making kick! Partly because there are so many beautiful papers retiring, and partly because my beautiful children are always losing my bookmarks for me. My mother says eventually I'll have to stop blaming them when I can't find things, but it's working for now. :-)

You can't really see it in this picture, but the Designer Paper has glitter on it! It's the Sending Love Specialty paper from the Spring Mini (now retired). So I added more glitter to keep with the theme. I stmaped the flowers from With All My Heart in Real Red Craft ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. (Why doesn't "iridescent" have two "r"s???? It totally should.)

Now we'll see how long it takes before my pretty sparkly bookmark disappears into someone else's stack of summer reading!

Happy Father's Day!

We made this card at the Aloha Catalog Party this week. I'm using mine for Father's Day, but this card would work for just about any occasion. There isn't a pattern in this Designer Paper pack that I don't love!

If you came to the Aloha Catalog Party last night, you got to make this cute bookmark! Bookmarks make great gifts, or if you're an obsessive reader like we all are at my house, you always need another one! Once again, I was inspired by my good friend Brandi for the bookmark idea and layout!

Aloha!

Loving this designer paper and the matching stamps and die! Here is another project from the Island Oasis set in the Summer Mini Catalog. I die cut the flowers and then stamped the smallest flower image inside them--gotta love unmounted stamps for that effect! The Brandi-esque doodling has become a necessity on most of my cards lately! Good thing I have gifted friends to improve my creativity!

Don't forget the Aloha Catalog Party Tuesday night at 7 pm! You can see this card in person and make a couple cute Island projects!
