More tiny clippies!

Here are a few more of the flower clippies we've made lately! We used the Flower Layers die, some leftover flowers from the Baskets and Blooms die, some Sweet Pea felt, and some Fleurettes.

What's up?

Thought you might like a little spring! These are mini-daffodils (some call them jonquils) that grow under my roses. I don't know the name--I bought them years ago at a Fred Meyer! lol they are only about 6-8 inches tall, and they bloomed last Saturday. They are always the earliest to bloom after my crocus!

Club card--hop to it!

With spring bursting out everywhere, I thought it would be fun to make a punch art bunny card! We used the Eggcellent Eggs Kit, which I LOVE! Rhinestones, flowers, leaves, rub-ons . . . what else does a girl need? I know it was designed for egg decorating, but I saw card pieces the moment I spotted it! The little egg-holder strips make lovely card borders!


For the bunny, we used :
2 small ovals Pretty in Pink
2 large ovals Whisper White
1 circle 1 ¾” Whisper White
2 circles ½” Whisper White
1 small heart Pretty in Pink
2 circles ¼” Black
Thin cardstock slices for whiskers (cut with SU Tabletop cutter!)

Club card--Jenny's Coat

 

We had a great time at stamp club this month! This is one of the cards we made. It's an update of the Joseph's Coat technique, hence the name "Jenny's Coat." 

Super, super easy. Select your Designer Series Paper (DSP) and stamp your image in Versamark. Embosss with Clear Embossing Powder and let cool. Then brayer over the entire thing with a dark color--really cover it! Wipe the ink off your embossed image, and ta da!

Club swap birthday cards

My club members are back to swapping! And you know I have a hard time resisting a call to swap. Our February challenge was to make a birthday card with a flower on it. I decided it was time to cut into my beautiful Sweet Pea DSP stack--it was painful, but I did it! 

I was inspired by this card I received from my sweet swap sister Trina. She sent it for my birthday, and I loved the layout!

Swap basket

This is my last submission to the textile swap! Remember that Baskets and Blooms die? It was one of the first XL dies available through Stampin Up. I have to admit that it had been on the bottom of the die heap for awhile. But it has a new lease on life!

I bought some lovely wool felt to make these baskets, and cut them with my Big Shot and the Baskets and Blooms die. For this one, I did some decorative stitching on what would be the front. Then I stitched the basket wrong sides together (I didn't use the basket bottom for this project, but you could!) and turned it right sides out. What a cutie pie little gift bag!

This die also happens to include some adorable little flower shapes! I cut them from felt and put one on the front of the basket. The others I made into hair clips! You could make them magnets or the tops for bookmarks or card elements or scrap page decorations--the options are endless!

Flower Fold Swap

My girls have gone crazy over these! We've made lots and lots, but somehow they've all disappeared from my craft room! LOL

I created fabric squares of cotton batting sandwiched by my fabric. Then I used the Flower Folds Die and the Big Shot to cut the Flower Fold shapes. After they were cut, I used my sewing machine to add the stitching details. We added the tulle (fine netting) to fill out the flower, and sewed everything together! Add a button or brad to the top layer, and you can make your very own, custom colored hair clip! My daughters assure me that these big flowers are totally cool right now, so make some for yourself or your favorite girl today!
