Sunny sunflowers

My internet connection has been sporadic at best the last few weeks. That should hopefully be fixed late tomorrow (new ISP)! 

And to my friends keeping Yom Kippur, may you have an easy fast. 

This is a half-pint jar decorated with Daisy die cuts and a large chocolate brad. I finished it off with a bow of 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain.

Simple Lattice

This card is a simplified version of this one I showed you during Convention. I swapped some of these as general swaps, and we also made it at Card Buffet! I stamped the image from Pendant Park in Whisper White Craft and embossed with White embossing powder. It gives a really bright, white image that way! I pierced the center of the lattice and added a brad, then cut bits of dimensionals to hide on the back of the lattice. It's popped up, giving a really great depth to the "window" feel I was going for.

More Medallion

You've seen them *everywhere*, I know! Medallion cards, that is. It's because you really cannot make a bad card with this stamp! How is that for an iron-clad guarantee??? I do think you get the best ink coverage by using a brayer to apply the ink to this stamp. It works for simple (like this one) or extravagant cards. You can punch out parts of it, pierce the whole thing, do techniques--the possibilities are endless!

Ode to the Top Note Die

Ahh, the Top Note die! I think that I shall never see, a die as lovely . . .   Ooh, sorry. Guess I got carried away a little! 

I love to make these Top Note Flap cards! So easy, yet such a fun twist on a standard card size and shape. I cut the cardstock at 4 1/4 x 11, then score at 5 1/2 and fold. Place folded cardstock onto the Top Note Die, so that just the tops of the "shoulders" and the point still show above the cardstock. This gives you a hinged Top Note that is so fun to decorate! 

The So Saffron strip on the left side is run through the Crimper, but it's a little hard to see in the photo.

I love the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper! When I first saw this print, it made me think of the Cherry Blossom Embosslit--it's like they were made for each other! We made this card at a Card Buffet, and I have a few on hand for me!

I just wanted to eat this notebook! LOL I made it with my Bind It All and the chipboard from the back of a package of Designer Series paper. I also got to use the ever-popular Daisy die for the embellishment. The notebook went in my hostess gift basket, and it was chosen by Wendy!

Watercolored Jars

This was a card we made at Card Buffet this week. It's from the Level 1 hostess set Country Morning. I'm not a very good watercolorer, but I love to do it anyway! And I've given myself permission to be just mediocre at it! LOL

I love autumn colors--they just suit me. So I used some of my favorite Stampin Up colors on this card. The DSP is from The Write Stuff Specialty pack (115674, page 163).
