Perfectly Artistic DSP and CTS#158

I'm on a birthday card binge! Check out my Card Buffet Facebook page to add your birthday to my list and receive a handmade birthday card from me!

My very favorite birthday greeting stamp is from the Watercolor Wishes kit. I love the fonts! I used the banner thinlit from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims set to make all 3 banners. This die stays out on my cutting table at all times, I use it so much! Just a bit of Silver Foil cardstock, Basic Gray cardstock embossed with Tiny Triangles, and Birthday Bouquet DSP create subtle touches of texture for the card.

This card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #158
I'm a Clean and Simple stamper by nature, so this sketch was a fun one to use! I let the gorgeous Perfectly Artistic DSP from Sale-a-bration do most of the work. Get it while it lasts, as it's set to disappear Feb 15!

Watercolor Resist Just for You

I never feel very confident about water coloring, but I love to do it anyway! In the end, it usually turns out beautifully as long as I don't mess with it too much.

Watercolor resist is easy! Stamp your image in versamark and emboss with clear or white embossing powder. Then watercolor! Ta da!

I die cut this image from the Sale-a-bration set Botanicals for You with the Lots of Labels Framelits. The papers are from the Love Blossoms DSP stack, which works for so much more than Valentine's Day! (Even though I love it for valentines, too!)

Heart Art Canvas

This is a 12x12 canvas covered with Spiral Flower Die blossoms. It was my turn to make the door prize for a team event in January, and this is what I decided on. My daughter helped me put all the flowers on the canvas, because I have a hard time with random placement. Ha! Everything I do tends toward symmetry.

You could make this sort of art in any shape. We've been thinking of making another one to have here at home!

Sunburst Thank You

I'm so excited that Stampin Up has released a starburst thinlit! Here's one option--a sunburst square. This card is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, folded in half. I added a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock at 4 x 4 and doodled around it with my white gel pen. The Sunburst Thinlit cut my Love Blossoms DSP stack perfectly, and I centered it on the layer and then trimmed off the edges.

I really wanted a white sentiment in the center, so I used this "thank you" stamp from Happy Happenings (page 103 in the main catalog) with Versamark ink and white embossing powder. A circle punch and a bit more white doodling, and that's all there is to it!

Sky is the Limit Treat Bag

I love making the Mini Treat Bags! It's so easy with the thinlit set, and they make darling gift card holders. And what a great way to use up that designer paper we've been hoarding! Have to make room for the new stuff, right?

This Treat Bag was a January Stamp Club project using the limited-time Sale-a-bration set Sky Is the Limit. It's a great set for any occasion and includes a happy birthday, congratulations, and the sky is the limit sentiment, along with the one shown above.
