In Color Stripes

I took the idea for this card from a sample in the new 2014 Catalog--page 72. I loved the simplicity of it, and added a bit of sparkle with the rhinestones. It was also a great way to feature all 5 In Colors at my Catalog Kickoff Party!

Tips and tricks: Cut the strips of colored cardstock a little bit longer than the base you attach them to. It makes it easier to line them up! Then just trim off the excess.

So I'm Kinda Eclectic

This is my take on the South Pacific Convention sample with Kinda Eclectic. The zigzag edges are made with the Envelope Punch Board--I found this idea on Elizabeth Price's blog. I love all the details on this card, and you might see it again at a cardbuffet or class!

The Honeycomb embossing folder was inked and stamped--a great way to extend your embossing folders! The rhinestones are colored with the Daffodil Blendabilities, one of my favorite things to do!

Work of Art for Tonight's Catalog Kickoff!

So exciting--a big group for tonight's Catalog Kickoff! We'll be making this project (one of 3), using one of my favorite new sets--Work of Art. There are samples everywhere out there, including some of mine here and here. It's a wonderful set that allows you to create just about anything! Swoops and zigzags, splotches, hearts, and dots. A little touch of gold makes this notecard extra fun.

Blackberry thoughts

This card features the new Moonlight Designer Series Stack, new In Colors Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss, and the soon-to-be-released Blendabilities Alcohol Markers! I used the Rich Razzleberry marker to color the pearls, and I think this might be my favorite feature of the Blendabilities! Color ribbons, rhinestones, pearls, buttons, and more--to match your Stampin' Up! coordinated colors! Blendabilities will be available around the first of August, so get ready to love them!

Father's Day Sketch Challenge

I've been stamping more lately than I have since my baby was born, almost 2 years ago! It feels good, and I'm hoping to keep it up. My new Little Letters Thinlits have been calling my name, and because Father's Day is coming up quickly, this card was born!
