New stuff: A simple Work of Art!

This set was a little out of my comfort zone. I usually go for recognizable images. :-) But Work of Art is full of great shapes that make it easy to play with color and design!

This is another in my "could use it for a male, too" series of cards. Ha! It features new In Colors Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist.

Catalog Kickoff!

The new Stampin' Up! catalog is here! You can view it online or by going to my Stampin' Up! shopping page and browsing! (Ordering will go live at noon MT June 2)

To celebrate, I'm hosting a Catalog Kickoff Party at my home on Thursday, June 12, at 7 pm! Please RSVP by Friday, June 6, so I can prepare enough supplies for everyone. Call, text, email, or comment here!

Come and make free projects, look through the new catalog, and see the new In Colors introduced this year. If you've purchased at least $50 of Stampin' Up merchandise from me in the last year, your catalog is free!  Prizes, make-n-takes, and treats--you don't want to miss it!

I will have a table of retired Stampin' Up craft items for sale, too. Pick up some new papers or stamps at a great discount!

We have an opening in our monthly Stamp Club, so if you're interested--whether you're local or not!--let me know! It's a great way to build your Stampin' Up! collection AND earn hostess benefits. And you're going to love this year's hostess sets!

Missing you in the forest

Sometimes, people move on from your life, and you just can't fill the hole they've left. This spring, I've lost a couple people who--while not family--were important in my life. I guess I was thinking of them when I made this card.

I never considered myself any sort of artist at all--I still don't! But I love creating things--there is something very fulfilling about making beautiful things and then giving them away. For a limited time you can join Stampin’ Up! for just $50 US/$60 CAN! This amazing opportunity will only last until June 30, 2014, so take what you already love doing—stamping and crafting—and make a little money while you're at it!

You're how old???

I couldn't send this card to just anyone--although my  younger siblings might be on the receiving end of one. :-) And it works well for those milestone kid birthdays! I just really like how this card came together. The colors please me, and the simplicity pleases me. Have a great Wednesday!

Graduated technique

It's that time of year--do you have cards made for your favorite graduates?

This was our technique card for May's Stamp Club. We started out with the splatter technique--use a sponge dauber to add streaks of color to white cardstock, then add "splatters" by dripping water on the colors--and then used a Word Bubble Framelit as a stamp and embossed it!

It kind of looks like we cried on our cards. :-)
