Paper roses, paper roses, oh how real they always seemed to be

Ok, who remembers Marie Osmond singing *that* golden oldie???

This is the gorgeous Brayered Roses technique! You've probably seen it all over the internet already, and I'm always late to the show. Yellow roses are my favorite! My Grandpa grew roses, and I always associate rose bushes with him. He was a marvelous gardener. We'll be learning this technique next week at Card Buffet!

Won't you be my neighbor???

I bought this wheel when it first came out. And then I was afraid to use it! LOL I decided it was *time*! I ran it across my Chocolate Chip Craft ink pad and then onto Naturals White cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I used my Watercolor Crayons (they make me feel like an artist, which I definitely am NOT) to color in! The embossing helped me stay "in the lines," which has been my coloring downfall for just about 40 years.

We'll be making this card in July for Card Buffet!

Diamonds are a girl's best friend

This technique is an oldie but a goody! Cut a window in your cardstock. Cover the back of it with clear packing tape. Apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Stamp your image to go behind it, and woohoo! Pretty card with sparkles!

Blooming Birthday

After my card buffet last month, I still had leftover Die Cut Blooms! So I actually sat down and made a few cards. {gasp} I seem to run out of birthday cards faster than anything else, so that's what these ended up being! So easy!

Oh, they say when you marry in June . . .

We made this card at June's Card Buffet. It's the "full-sized" version of the 3x3 swap card I did here. I always need more wedding cards this time of year! This one is simple and elegant, and uses my favorite tools--punches! The sentiment is from Oval All, available now in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped it in Basic Black Craft ink on Whisper White cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I punched it out using the Large Oval punch. It's layered on a Scalloped Oval punch (also in the Occasions Mini!).

The vellum layer was run through the Big Shot with the Texturz plates. I use one sheet of cardstock as a "shim," because the vellum is thinner than cardstock. That gives you a nice deep look to the embossing. It's difficult to use adhesive behind vellum, as you may have found out! So this is attached to a layer of Basic Black cardstock using only the 4 black brads. The sentiment is popped up with Dimensionals.

Last Chance Party!

Last night we had a Last Chance Party and made these two cards! The red card is from my Bon Voyage Blog Hop post, and the other uses Pretty Amazing. I think my stampers had a good time--everybody got a prize!
