Black and White Wedding
When I saw the printed window sheets that came with the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, I immediately thought of weddings! This clear acetate is printed with a Whisper White quatrefoil design. I cut the cards at 4x8, so I could get 4 of them from one sheet. The labels are cut from the Deco Labels Collection framelits--the outer one is from Modern Medley DSP, the inner one has the sentiment and a doodled border. The flower is made of tissue paper punched with the Scalloped Circle punches, with an Antique Brad for the center.
I think it makes a great wedding or anniversary card! You could use it as a thank you or bridal shower card, too!
Stamps: Loving Thoughts (inside sentiment)
Paper: Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, Whisper White, Modern Medley DSP, tissue paper
Ink: Black
Accessories: White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain, Antique Brads, Deco Labels Framelits, Big Shot

My Paper Pumpkin Projects
Don't forget to sign up for My Paper Pumpkin before August 31! Click here to Join Now!
Use the promo code PUMPKINDEAL and get the first two months for only $10 each. These kits make great gifts for friends who don't have much time for stamping but still want to create, for students of all ages, or anyone you know who deserves a little treat in the mail!
To see what's in the first kit, check this post.
After the first month, the kits are a surprise! I can't wait to see what September's kit will be.
Here is the sample card for the introductory kit. It's made just by following the directions that come with the supplies. The only extra I used was adhesive.
But I wanted to experiment a little to see what else I could make, so I did this:
I used just the kit elements--I only added the white baker's twine to the button. And then, I decided to try something more.
I added a piece of Basic Gray cardstock and a piece of Whisper White cardstock. That's it! The rest is straight from the kit!
So make the cards the way the kit tells you to, or be a little rebellious like me and make something different! It's *YOUR* Paper Pumpkin!

Celebrate with a little burlap
Another card from August's Club meeting--this one featuring the Mosaic Madness suite of products. I'm a sucker for stamp sets with matching punches or framelits--they get me every time! This card is detailed, but it goes together quickly. See that fun burlap layer??? It's the Burlap Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog! I love it--burlap usually makes me sneeze, but this one hasn't given me any trouble at all. You can stamp on it, and the cut ends frayed just the way I wanted them to. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it goes so well with my current favorite color--Baked Brown Sugar!
My oldest son's birthday is next week--he'll be 12! What do you have to celebrate this month?
Stamps: Mosaic Madness, Express Yourself
Paper: Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, Baked Brown Sugar, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: island Indigo, baked Brown Sugar, pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party
Accessories: Big Shot, Modern Mosaic emb folder, Itty Bitty Banner framelits, Mosaic punch, rhinestones, Burlap

Birthday Shaker
We made this card at Club meeting this week. It's a Dutch fold card (see tutorial here) with a shaker feature. Shaker cards are very easy to make! I got the idea from Pam Morgan's presentation at the Stampin' Up! Convention.
Just cut matching sized pieces of Window Sheet and Designer Series Paper (here, 3x4), seal up 3 sides with Washi tape, and then fill with small punchies. Seal up the 4th side and you're done!
Here's a photo of the inside:
I am entering this card in the Just Us Girls Technique Challenge #201.

New Pretties! Label Thinlits Wedding Card
My order arrived this afternoon, just before my voice students began to arrive. (Love you, voice students!) Then it was dinner time, and then family night, and the baby needed me in and around and through . . .
So here is what I made (too) late tonite! Sorry the photos aren't great. Who knew the smallest image in Apothecary Art matches the label shape???? Too cool! I cut the Calypso Coral layer using the main die, and then fiddled with what didn't cut out. :-) The heart is from the "i heart u" die in the set.
Inside
Stamps: Apothecary Art, Pennant Parade ("Love")
Paper: Very Vanilla, Modern Medley DSP, Venetian Romance DSP, Calypso Coral
Ink: Calypso Coral, Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Label Card Thinlit, Beautiful Baroque folder, Crisp Cantaloupe ribbon

Holiday Washi Notebooks
Are you wishy-washy about Washi???? (I've been wanting to say that for a long time!)
Washi tape is fabulous decorative tape--like masking tape only CUTER! These are the two styles available in the new Holiday Catalog--
Witches Brew Designer Washi Tape (132156) $4.95 and Season of Style Designer Washi Tape (132155) $4.95.
Each set has 3 designs per package: 3/8, 1/2, and 5/8 width. 5 yards each.
Are these cute or what? I had to hurry and get the picture before my girls took the notebooks. They're decorated (the notebooks, not the girls) with the Label Love set and accompanying Artisan Label punch, with the largest of the Simply Pressed Clay buttons.
Washi tape is very easy to use--it's repositionable! If I can make these with a baby on my lap, anybody can do it!
Check out all the other wonderful goodies now available in the Holiday Catalog!
