Petite Purse Preview
This is a project we made at April's club meeting, and a "sneak peek" of the new catalog! We used the Petite Purse die, which I LOVE, and the Summer Smooches DSP! Both will be available again on June 1, so make sure you are ready! The purse is definitely "petite," but it holds 4 mini candybars or nuggets quite well!

Where did April go?
April sort of got away from me. We took one child back to college, picked up the other *from* college and took her to a study abroad program, Layne traveled for work, one daughter went to All-State Choir, flood irrigation season started . . . . Anyway, I didn't do much stamping, much less photo-taking!
Here is a card we made for April's hostess club--it uses the Summer Smooch suite, which will be available again on June 1! It's so easy to make cards with this set and DSP! Can't wait to see what else is in the new catalog!
If you'd like to receive a catalog from me, please let me know. If you've purchased $50 or more from me in the last 6 months, your catalog will be free!

Fairy Purses and Notes
My little girls aren't quite so little anymore, so I had to find a new audience! I started a new part-time job in February, and my boss's two granddaughters are the perfect ages to appreciate my fairy purses and fairy notes!
Made with Stampin' Up!'s brand new Petite Purse die and Flirtatious DSP, these tiny purses are perfect for little treats or papers. We'll be using this die at club next week, so make sure you're there to check it out!
The Petite Purse die is part of the Summer Smooches special--some previews of new catalog merchandise and some exclusive products!

Classic cream and black
I love the classic look of these cards! I was inspired by Dawn Olchefske, who makes such lovely things. I used 6x6 textured Vanilla cardstock, scored in half. Then stamped the large image from the Sale-a-bration set Fresh Vintage in black. Emboss with the oval Designer Frames embossing folders (also available for Sale-a-bration!). Then add a sentiment punched with the large oval punch. I also used the new Diagonal Plate to make envelopes from First Edition Specialty DSP. So fun!
Don't let Sale-a-bration pass you by! March 31 is the deadline to get your FREE product with every $50 purchase.

Treat Tube Again!
Here's another treat tube like the one I posted Tuesday. This one is a little larger--it holds about 12 candies. The flower top on this one comes from the Big Shot Flower Folds die. When I first saw these, I thought they looked kind of tricky to make, but they really aren't! Give them a try for Easter or Mother's Day, or any time you need a little gift!

With a cherry on top!
If only we had scent capabilities on the internet, you'd be able to smell the cherry embossing powder on this card! We made this card at club on Tuesday using the Mouthwatering set and the yummy scented embossing powder. So fun! Can't wait for cherries to be ripe here, but it's still a few months away. Guess I'll just have to be happy with the embossing powder!

You're so sweet
This card makes me anxious for summer! And what goes better with summer weather than ice cream? Nothing!
We'll be making this card and matching envie tonight at March's club meeting. If you're local and interested in joining or just attending a club meeting, let me know!
Stampin' Up!'s new Diagonal Scoring Plate makes custom envelopes a snap--you'll be amazed how easy it is! And with the Sweet Shop set of products, you can't go wrong. I love the brads, the stickers, the stamps, the scented embossing powders, the DSP . . . well, apparently, I love it all!
Don't forget Sale-a-bration ends on March 31! Get your order in now!

Pretty stripes
This is my current favorite card! I saw the sketch on Pinterest and knew it was perfect for these brads. The DSP and brads are from the Everyday Enchantment suite in the Sale-a-bration catalog. And don't you love the Pool Party twine! Yummy!
This is a great sketch for long scraps, and a fun way to make a quick card.

Boutique Birthday
We made this card at February's club meeting. I think it's so old-fashioned looking! First we used the Adorning Accents Edgelit and Embossing folder to decorate the bottom edge of the front of the card. Then we used Watercolor Wonder Crayons to watercolor the beautiful image from Apothecary Art (this might be my most favorite set ever!) die cut it with the Labels Framelits. The DSP is from the gorgeous Attic Boutique pack. And those giant pearls? They're new from the Occasions Mini Catalog!

Sale-a-bration Birthday
I really love this card and need to make a few more! I think it's perfect for a masculine birthday, and those cards are sometimes hard to come by! I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit to add a little curve the the front, and then just used my favorite DSP pack--Everyday Enchantment--and some Lucky Limeade cardstock. The sentiment is from the hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes, and the banner is from Take It to Heart. It still needed a little something, so I added the doodles.
Have you placed your Sale-a-bration order yet??? Don't miss out on this gorgeous DSP and the accompanying accessories!

In the sunshine
Even though we had snow on Wednesday, my daffodils and crocus are peeking their little heads up out of the dirt, looking for the sunshine! This card makes me feel like spring, and it was very easy to put together.
The DSP is from the Everyday Enchantment pack--free with purchase and available exclusively during Sale-a-bration! I {heart} this particular print, and I'll probably be hoarding some of it. I used the smallest Label Framelit to cut out the very center, then stamped the sentiment (from Pursuit of Happiness) on the Vanilla layer underneath. Added some doodling, some pearls, and some stitched poly ribbon.
Hope your weekend is filled with sunshine!

Happy Valentine's Day!
This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. It was fun and easy, and I think it has a dramatic look to it! I used the Triple Heart punch and the Small Heart punch. And let's hear it for yummy Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding!
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Tell your loved ones how you feel!

Valentine Treat Box
Another Valentine treat box for you to try! This is the Big Shot die Box #2--one of my most used dies! I cut a strip of Red Glimmer paper and scalloped the edge. Attach with Sticky Strip to the top edge of the box. One heart punch is embossed, while the other is stamped with an image from Take It to Heart. Add you treat and tie with red 1/4" grosgrain. Happy Valentines Day!

Valentine Pillow Box
Sometimes I forget about the pillow box die--and yet I always love projects made with it! This was a January club project. Super simple way to give out a little candy gift on Valentines Day. If you need co-worker gifts or classroom gifts, this is an easy way to go!
We cut a pillow box out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and stamped it with the smallest heart image from Take It to Heart. Then we folded it up, secured with sticky strip, and added a candy treat. We just folded the top closed and tied the whole box shut with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. The Valentine sentiment is from the Occasions Alphabet--one of my favorites in a long time! After stamping, we die cut it out with the scalloped rectangle clearlit and added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. The corner heart is a small heart punch from the Red Glimmer paper.
What are you making for Valentines Day???

Vintage Valentine Bird
I've mentioned before that I used to make valentines with my grandmother, and this is another one inspired by those memories. I'm really loving the feel of Very Vanilla on my cards right now, and I think it gives this one an old-fashioned feel.
The stamp is from Take It to Heart, cut out--of course--with the matching Hearts Framelits. I used the new Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz instead of coloring--that stuff is darker than I expected! I think it turned out beautifully and Grandma would have loved it.
Any special Valentine memories that are inspiring your crafting these days???

Butterfly enchantment
Since it's been cold and cloudy, I'm creating a little spring weather in my craft room. This is one of my favorite cards! It's simple to make and uses the Everyday Enchantment DSP that is available during Sale-a-bration. I adhered the DSP to a Very Vanilla layer and then wrapped it with some of the 1/8" Calypso Coral Organdy Ribbon from the SAB ribbon and brad pack. A few pearls, a few butterflies . . . easy, springy card! I made a variation on this one for a swap I'm participating in, but I think the 3x6 version is still the best. :-)
I've been on a 3x6 card kick lately, so expect to see more like this. Somehow a new shape has sparked my previously missing mojo! What are you making with your Sale-a-bration goodies???

Whole Heartedly
This heart-shaped card will be one of the projects we make tonite at our stamp club. If you are local and would like to join in future meetings, please email me!
The new Heart Framelits are so fun--and this card just makes me smile. It uses the largest of the framelits--the scalloped one. I used the Framelit on a folded, scored piece of Melon Mambo to make the inside of the card (yes, it works!), then placed a whole heart on top. The banner is from Take it to Heart, and the saying is from Loving Thoughts.
There are so many things to do with these fun new shapes. I hope you will give the new Framelits a try!

Spring Stamping
I've been unable to figure out how to blog from my iPad (can you say "frustrating?" I knew you could!), so I've just not been blogging at all. sigh. I have been stamping, though! My official stamp assistant is home from college for a couple months, and we've been stamping up a storm! A spring storm, that is. We'll start with the Valentines Day stuff!
Valentines Day is one of my very favorite holidays, so I always enjoy seeing what new Stampin' Up! offerings there will be for that day. This year, my prize goes to Take It to Heart (125522, $23.95 clear). Mainly because it matches the fabulous new Framelits Hearts dies!!! I'm in Heaven! This is a simple, old-fashioned valentine that I think my grandmother would love, if she were still alive. This little retro image really reminded me of her! Be sure to check out all the offerings in the Occasions Mini! (you can view it online by visiting my Stampin Up website
or by clicking the image in the sidebar -------------------> )
