Copper Embossed Medallion

I haven't swapped by mail in *years*. Many years. I've done a few small local things at team meetings, but it's probably been 6-7 years since I fell victim to swap mania signed on to make so many of one card! But I really do love how it turned out! All the copper, all the time!

Medallions are super on trend, and I was excited to discover there was one in the new Pattern Party Decorative Masks. At only $6 for 4 6x6 masks, this is a great deal! I used the new SU Embossing Paste through the mask, then quickly added copper embossing powder. This embossing paste dries very quickly, so be sure to wipe off your mask in between uses. Some people have suggested having a bowl of warm soapy water nearby, but my craft room does not have space for that sort of frivolity! I used baby wipes and did the best I could.

Behind the medallion is the new Sheet Music Background stamp! I have waited SO long for this stamp! It's Fur Elise, in case you are curious.

I used the new Copper Trim to make the ribbon rose. It was a little messy, but not hard to do. This amazing trim stretches both in width and length!
The vellum layer was stamped with "just a note" from the Soft Sayings kit in Dapper Denim ink, then immediately embossed with clear powder. Be sure to heat from the back to keep from blowing the powder away!

ASEA Wednesday

I'm picky about what I put on my skin. I react to lots of things, including scents (artificial and natural) and colors. But I love the results from Renu28 on my face! My skin is softer and  younger looking. My wrinkles are less noticeable. And my skin feels *good*. There's a big of a tingle and tightening feeling at first, so wait till the Renu has done it's job! After about 4-5 minutes, apply your moisturizer and go ahead with your regular makeup or whatever you put on. You'll notice a difference!

Renu28 has also been great on sunburns (and other burns), as well as bug bites and rashes. It's my go to skin solution now, and there's a small tube in my purse at all times.

Give Renu28 a try and see what it can do for your skin!

ASEA Wednesday: Doctors Speak about ASEA

Welcome to ASEA Wednesday! This is my weekly spotlight on my OTHER passion, holistic healing and ASEA supplement. In 1995, we discovered that my then 5 month old daughter was "allergic" or oversensitized to all the major classes of available antibiotics. When both your parents have a genetic immunity disorder, this is very bad news.

The doctor told me that if we could just keep her alive till she was a year old, we would have other options. That didn't sound very hopeful to me.

Thus began my journey into holistic medicine. I was raised to believe that it was all a hoax and a scam, so you can imagine my reservations and skepticism. I used supplements, better nutrition, reduced exposure to inflammatory agents, and more. She was tiny and fragile, and I couldn't just run experiments on her. As it turned out, though, I *did* keep her alive. In fact, she is still alive (and kicking)! I wish ASEA had been available to me then!

So to all of you who doubt the power of a "magic" salt and water drink to heal cells, I offer you this 5-minute video by doctors and other health professionals, discussing redox signaling molecules and the science behind how they help your cells heal themselves!

ASEA Wednesday: Get Better. Get Well. Get ASEA.

I've been told ASEA is "voodoo science." If you know much about me, you know I'm a skeptic and a cynic. I do my own extensive research. I have a strong background in science, and I know how to read the research.

ASEA is the real deal. It's the medicine of the future, and it's available now. Get better. Get well. Get ASEA.

Focus on art play: The joy is in the creating

Do you feel like you don't have the time or space to play with your art supplies? I try to spend 30 minutes (at least) a day on art, but I'll be honest. It doesn't always happen. I love how Carolyn Dube over at A Colorful Journey approaches art play. She recommends using supplies that you have readily available and consider it "playing." We forget how to just play, and we need to rediscover it! Check out her free Permission to Play Workshop!

Don't worry that you have the "wrong" supplies--there is no such thing! Don't worry that your project "should" look a certain way--you're just playing!

Get out your art supplies and have fun this week! The joy is in the process, not the end product.
