Happy Christmas Tags

We give away a lot of freezer jam to local friends at Christmas. This is one version of the tags I made this year. I had to have the Bell Punch, naturally! The little wood hearts will be available in January in the new Occasions Catalog!

Shop Your Stash: Painted Blooms

Remember this gorgeous paper--Painted Blooms--from Spring 2015? I still have a little bit hoarded away on my paper shelf. These photos reminded me that I need to cut it up and make beautiful cards with it! Below, I share the template for how I cut this particular 12 x 12 page to make the most of the pattern.

What paper are you hoarding?? Make it into something beautiful and share in the comments!

Where's the Fiesta??

I seriously love this card. I can't help it.

I had seen the idea of the googly eyes on the cactus, and it seemed perfect for this split square technique card.

Split square technique is easy--cut your background paper (designer paper or create your own) to 4 x 4, then cut it it half on the diagonal. I made the cuts about an inch from each corner. Adhere to your card base, then stamp a sentiment in the blank space. Embellish (that's the fun part).

The hat is cut from a different pattern of this fun Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper. The little Pumpkin Pie embellishments are made by punching the Paper Pumpkin Glimmer Paper, then using Fine Tip Glue to make it shine.
