Boutique Birthday

We made this card at February's club meeting. I think it's so old-fashioned looking! First we used the Adorning Accents Edgelit and Embossing folder to decorate the bottom edge of the front of the card. Then we used Watercolor Wonder Crayons to watercolor the beautiful image from Apothecary Art (this might be my most favorite set ever!) die cut it with the Labels Framelits. The DSP is from the gorgeous Attic Boutique pack. And those giant pearls? They're new from the Occasions Mini Catalog!

Sale-a-bration Birthday

I really love this card and need to make a few more! I think it's perfect for a masculine birthday, and those cards are sometimes hard to come by! I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit to add a little curve the the front, and then just used my favorite DSP pack--Everyday Enchantment--and some Lucky Limeade cardstock. The sentiment is from the hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes, and the banner is from Take It to Heart. It still needed a little something, so I added the doodles.

Have you placed your Sale-a-bration order yet??? Don't miss out on this gorgeous DSP and the accompanying accessories!

In the sunshine

Even though we had snow on Wednesday, my daffodils and crocus are peeking their little heads up out of the dirt, looking for the sunshine! This card makes me feel like spring, and it was very easy to put together.

The DSP is from the Everyday Enchantment pack--free with purchase and available exclusively during Sale-a-bration! I {heart} this particular print, and I'll probably be hoarding some of it. I used the smallest Label Framelit to cut out the very center, then stamped the sentiment (from Pursuit of Happiness) on the Vanilla layer underneath. Added some doodling, some pearls, and some stitched poly ribbon.

Hope your weekend is filled with sunshine!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. It was fun and easy, and I think it has a dramatic look to it! I used the Triple Heart punch and the Small Heart punch. And let's hear it for yummy Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding!

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Tell your loved ones how you feel!

Valentine Treat Box

Another Valentine treat box for you to try! This is the Big Shot die Box #2--one of my most used dies! I cut a strip of Red Glimmer paper and scalloped the edge. Attach with Sticky Strip to the top edge of the box. One heart punch is embossed, while the other is stamped with an image from Take It to Heart. Add you treat and tie with red 1/4" grosgrain. Happy Valentines Day!

Valentine Pillow Box

Sometimes I forget about the pillow box die--and yet I always love projects made with it! This was a January club project. Super simple way to give out a little candy gift on Valentines Day. If you need co-worker gifts or classroom gifts, this is an easy way to go!

We cut a pillow box out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and stamped it with the smallest heart image from Take It to Heart. Then we folded it up, secured with sticky strip, and added a candy treat. We just folded the top closed and tied the whole box shut with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. The Valentine sentiment is from the Occasions Alphabet--one of my favorites in a long time! After stamping, we die cut it out with the scalloped rectangle clearlit and added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details. The corner heart is a small heart punch from the Red Glimmer paper.

What are you making for Valentines Day???

Vintage Valentine Bird

I've mentioned before that I used to make valentines with my grandmother, and this is another one inspired by those memories. I'm really loving the feel of Very Vanilla on my cards right now, and I think it gives this one an old-fashioned feel.

The stamp is from Take It to Heart, cut out--of course--with the matching Hearts Framelits. I used the new Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz instead of coloring--that stuff is darker than I expected! I think it turned out beautifully and Grandma would have loved it.

Any special Valentine memories that are inspiring your crafting these days???
