A notebook trio

I inherited a love for office supplies from my father. Notebooks, pens, paperclips, staplers . . . . . {sigh of happiness}. So when I found out I could make my own notebooks, I was in a little bit of heaven! The Love Letter DSP is one of my favorites in this catalog! These notebooks were gifts for some special friends, and I hope they know how much I love them!

Right on the button!

Another February club card! I can't seem to make anything but Sew Suite projects these days. First we made our own background stamp by placing several button images from the Button Button set on a large clear block. We stamped the right side of this card in Early Espresso ink to add a little texture. The button card is from one of the great sheets of Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper (DSP). I trimmed several images so each club member could make the one she liked best. We used the Sweet Buttons Embosslit to make a coordinating button from cardstock, then clear embossed it to make it look even more realistic!

The Sew Suite set of productts make creating so easy!

That's going to need stitches

I tried to resist all the Sew Suite stuff, I *really* did! But I failed. How could I resist that Designer Paper???? and the Fabric Covered Buttons??? Ohhh, and the jumbo wheel!

This sketch comes from the Clean and Simple website--FTL 125. We made this fun card last night at our monthly hostess club meeting.  In the past, I have unmounted and cut up several jumbo wheels, but this one seemed particularly suited to being "de-wheeled."
It's easy to do--just cut along the glued seam on the wheel with your craft knife. The rubber will peel off the wheel. I used my Tabletop Cutter to slice the stitches apart. I swiped a bit of Multi Glue along the back of the rubber and allowed it to dry, and now it works perfectly with a clear block! Even my clubbers who were sure it would be too hard were surprised! Because the strips are so narrow, it's easy to get them right where you want them on your image.

We used strips from the delightful Sweet Stitches DSP pack and then added Chocolate Chip stitching! I think I'll use the images from this wheel a whole lot more unmounted than I would otherwise! Give it a try and see what you think.

Bugs and Kisses

Every month, my stamp club does a swap. This month's theme was "nature." Bugs and Kisses has been around for awhile, and it was calling out to me to be used! The designer paper is from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration kit--Ice Cream Parlor. The colors are bright and fun and inspired the colors for the "bugs." What sets are lonely in your stamp drawer????

Simply Adorned for Valentines Day

I have to admit to not jumping on the jewelry bandwagon right at first. It seemed fine, but not anything I'd be interested in. But now I am! It's amazing how fun it is to work with that tiny canvas! These images came on a tag Stampin' Up! sent to demonstrators on a free Valentines sample. I added rhinestones and think these Simply Adorned inserts turned out GREAT! Check out the Love Impressions rub ons (121886, page 8 in the Occasions Mini Catalog) for similar images!
