Watercolor Roses

I am so excited that Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo are sticking around! I made these watercolor roses last fall, and they've been hanging around my craft desk all these months! My real roses are not doing much yet, so I thought it was probably time to do something with these, instead!

I dyed white taffeta ribbon with Melon Mambo ink, and I reallyreally like it!

Katie's rag quilt purse

It was my little sister's birthday today! I made her one of my rag quilt purses--somehow, I keep giving them away!

She loves classic lines and black and white, and I've always been intimidated by her good taste! But I made her gift anyway, thinking she could always let her daughter use it for a dolly carrier.

I really do love making these purses! And shopping for fabric. I might love that even more! So grab your favorite fabric, your SU Scalloped Square Die (115950, p 199), and get cracking! You can do it!

New color announcement!

I'm sure you've heard by now--Stampin' Up! is revamping all its color families! They'll now be called Color Collections! Here is a look at the new set up:

You  might have noticed that there aren't as many colors as in the current color families! Stampin Up has decided to discontinue the lowest-selling colors to make room for more new products! New products! New! New! New!

I kinda like new stuff. It's an ADD thing, I'm sure! Anyway, while we may be sad to see some colors go, there is still time to get everything you want before they retire! Here is the list of colors that will be leaving. They will be available at least till May 31, and then everything will be sold while supplies last during the month of June.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Spring colors!

Made this for Susie's Easter box. Our first Easter without her! sniffle  but the hair clip turned out cute, yes? These must be the hot colors for spring, because they are ALL OVER the fabric stores! I can totally live with turquoise and chocolate.

I've had a few questions about how I finish the backs of my clippies, so here is a picture. I bought a box of these 2-pronged clips at a beauty supply store. My girls have thick, heavy hair, so they prefer this type. I cut 5 inches of Stampin Up 1/4 grosgrain, seal the edges with a candle flame, and adhere it to the clip. Hope this  helps you make your own custom hair clips! All you need is the Flower Folds die, which you can order from my Stampin Up website!
