Pistachio Berry Basket

This basket was inspired by one in Stampin Success, the magazine Stampin Up sends out to demonstrators. I really like the stamping on the basket. It gives it some depth while still allowing the stronger cardstock to create a sturdier basket.

Strawberry Easter Basket--No Fooling!

This cute basket is made with the Stampin Up Berry Basket Die. It goes together VERY quickly--always a nice quality--and makes a great Easter basket, gift basket, or storage container.

At Stamp Club in March, we made cardstock strawberries to fill our baskets, because they're so cute! I looked on Pinterest for the strawberry template and used this one. I printed it on white cardstock, then traced it onto Real Red for the strawberries. It's a very simple shape to cut. Don't let it scare you off! Then emboss with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, score, and adhere together. The template provides a "leaf," but I cut them out with one of the Flower Fair Framelits instead. Thread Pistachio Pudding baker's twine through the top of the strawberry "petals," then through the "leaf," and pull tight. Tie in a bow. You could put something small inside the strawberry if you wanted to, but we didn't.

Here's another view of the basket:
I'll be featuring more Berry Baskets in the next several days so you can be as excited about this die as I am! Happy Spring!

Golden Curry Birthday and a sketch

In all my experimenting while making cards for last night's Stamp Club meeting, I left quite a few "bits & pieces" around my craft room. So one day this week, while cleaning up, I got distracted trying to use this 4 1/4" square card with a piece of Best Year Ever DSP (SAB). Magically, I saw the Freshly Made Sketches challenge here:
and everything clicked! The stamps are from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit--some of my favorite stamps ever! I combined them with the One Tag Fits All tag image, as well as the coordinating Note Tag Punch. A few little bits of gold to make it sparkle, and this card was done! Funny how some cards take forever, and others just fall into place!

One of my goals this year was to make time every day to stamp. I haven't hit every day, but I have hit *most* days, and the result was just what I expected: more ideas, more inspiration, more creating, and more mess. Ha!

Christmas Gift Box

I thought I had already shared this, but apparently not! I made this box with the Gift Box Punch Board.  We have used so many of these little boxes this Christmas gift season! This size will hold a gift card, but what I mainly use them for is giving jewelry!

If it looks confusing, don't worry. It's easy! There is a video to watch if written instructions aren't your thing.

The board has the instructions right on it, along with measurements for many sizes of boxes. After I cut my cardstock to 8 x 8, I used the Stripes Mask and Real Red ink to sponge on the pattern. I think it makes the box extra cute! The Punch Board is made with a great little "clasp" punch built right in, to make your flaps all secure.

The tag (you know I love tags!) is made with a piece of Trim the Tree DSP Stack paper, the stamp set Merry Everything, and the new Note Tag Punch. Baked Brown Sugar Thick Twine adds a nice little accent.

Merry Everything Tags

One of the trends this year is the "double tag." At least, that's what I'm calling it. You have a decorative tag in front, and then add a more utilitarian tag behind it, for the pesky (and not beautiful) details. :-) We made this tag last week at my Club Appreciation Night. Super easy, and with just a bit of bling to make it special. The stamps are both from Merry Everything, and they match the new Note Tag punch. I used the Confetti Stars Punch (which I LOVE) on some scraps of Silver Glimmer Paper to add a little Christmas sparkle. Tied up with Silver 1/8" ribbon, this tag is ready to go!

Autumn Acorns

Acorns--who doesn't love them? When I was in grade school, our campus was a very old high school, and we got to play among all the huge old trees. A couple were oaks, so in the fall we would sit and gather piles of acorns. The boys threw them at each other of course, but I just loved the textures of the acorns in my hands.

This paper, Color Me Autumn Designer Series from the Holiday Catalog, reminded me so  much of those days. See that curled ribbon in Cajun Craze??? It's made from very thin strips of cardstock. Details like that make me happy. And you know I'm a sucker for a stamp set with a matching punch! Merry Everything has a stamp for every fall occasion, and the Note Tag Punch is a lovely shape!

What do you love about autumn?
