Perfectly Artistic Matchbook and a Thursday Tip

This darling matchbook gift card holder was one of the February Stamp Club project. The host requested birthday cards for kids, and so I thought a gift card holder would be perfect!

Here is a side view that shows the 3D effect of the scoring. I found a similar project from Mary Fish that I used as inspiration. I cut Thick Whisper White at 3 x 8 1/2, then scored at 3 3/8, 3 3/4, and 7 3/4.

Thursday Tip:  No sense in "wasting" all that Silver Foil paper that sits behind the Perfectly Artistic DSP, right? I die cut a square or tag out of each Silver Foil mat, then we used one to punch the cute little birthday candles that help hold the flap down.

Mini treat bags for cake day!

Two more nephews with birthdays! They all grow up so fast! Both these boys (12 & 13) received movie gift cards, as you can see. The mini treat bags are so easy to put together, and they're the perfect size to hold a gift card!

Birthday Acorns--it's only the beginning

Another card made with my favorite pattern from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper!

We have a large number of birthdays in the next month. Really. A LOT of birthdays.

Sister, great nephew, brother-in-law, niece, brother, sister-in-law, another brother-in-law, another brother, mom, daughter, another daughter and my father-in-law. You thought I was exaggerating, didn't you! (I had to list them in date order to keep track.) It's a big family, and we love it.

I need cards and gift card holders, and you'll be seeing them all here. This card will work male or female, and it went together quickly! The little banners are punched from scraps of the Color Me Autumn DSP. Other than that, it's just a stamp, a bit of layering, and a quick doodle with my favorite pens--the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Journaling pens! Make a quick stack of cards using this layout and your favorite designer paper you've been hoarding!
