Ruffled Leaves

I originally designed this card for a demonstrator shoebox swap in September, then decided I loved it so much I'd use it for October Stamp Club, too! Stamp Club members received complete instructions so they can  use the technique over and over again.

If you're interested in joining my next round of Stamp Club, let me know!

Square Pillowbox for October Club

We made this cute version of the Square Pillowbox for the October Stamp Club meeting. The die set includes the "window" thinlit, which makes it easy to show what's inside!

Lighthearted Maple

I'm so in love with Lighthearted Leaves. It's my favorite leaf set in a LONG time. It's so intricate and textured, and so on trend right now with all the Zentangling art!

This was a simple card to make. I stamped the maple leaf from Lighthearted Leaves in Versamark on Early Espresso cardstock, then added gold embossing powder and heated it to set. The dies in the Leaflets Framelits set cut it out perfectly for me.

So grateful

There are several things I love on this card.

First, the Softly Falling embossing folder. It works any time of year, even though it's in the Holiday Catalog. I love the texture. You can choose to have the "heavy" texture anywhere on the card, because this is a 6x6 folder. So many options!

Second, the gold candy dots. Are you wondering where they are in the catalog? They are actually the White Perfect Accents colored with a gold Sharpie. You're welcome.

Third, the "grateful," in Gold Glimmer Paper. The word come from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies in the Holiday Catalog (page 40). I love the script-y font and the bit of shine the word brings to the card.

Fourth, the circle of flowers from Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. I just used the 2 1/2 inch circle punch to isolate the flower set I wanted. You could also easily use circle framelits.

I hope you're making something you love this week! If you are, share it here!

New idea with Mini Treat Bag Thinlits

I love the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I have made *lots* of them, and I use them all the time. They cut cardstock or Designer Series Paper. Here's a new way to use the Thinlits to make something different!

Look at all the great pieces that come in this set:

Cotton Paper Flowers

I thought I had posted this project on my blog back when we made it at our August Stamp Club, but apparently not!

We used the Cotton Paper Assortment (Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry) to make this simple but flashy flower.

Now Stampin Up has a quick video showing another fun flower with the Cotton Paper!

It's a pumpkin time of year!

Autumn is my favorite season--I love the colors and textures and the leaves and the pumpkin-based food.

These stamps came from the September Paper Pumpkin--Wickedly Sweet! The little glittered leaves are cut with a die from the Square Pillowbox set. The card uses the FMS206 sketch:

Spooky Shaker Card

Just in time for October, it's a Spooky Shaker! We made it at last month's Stamp Club.

We used the darling seasonal Frame Thinlits and matching Sparkly Seasons set. You can get them in a bundle and save 15%!

Shaker cards don't have to be intimidating. You can do it! The trick is to not add TOO much fun stuff to your shaker window.

Pillowbox Boo!

Not "boooooo" for the pillowbox, because I LOVE the pillowbox! "Boo" as in, I die cut the word "spooky from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits and turned it backwards (and upside down!) to make the word "boo"! The googly eyes helped. {smile}
