I love the photo prints in the Adventure Bound DSP stack! They are gorgeous, and make masculine cards easy. I stamped the sentiment and anchor on vellum in Memento Black ink.

Shiny Graduation Stars

We made this card at May's Stamp Club meeting. Doesn't everyone need a graduation card this time of year??? The larger star in the left corner is inset--we die cut the shape from gold foil, then die cut a "nest" for it in the cardstock. It's also a farewell card to one of my favorite colors:  Baked Brown Sugar!

Vellum butterfly and gold goodness

This was a Stamp Club card in April. We used an Aquapainter and Pacific Point ink to make spatters on the white layer, which was already embossed with the Spring Flowers embossing folder. That cute little gold shape behind the sentiment is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits set. The gold thread under the butterfly is from the Gold Baker's Twine. And of course, butterflies from Vellum Cardstock and my all-time-favorite DSP, Painted Blooms!

Painted Petals Notecards

These are from a gift set I made for my mom for Mother's Day. She has a hard time giving away the more detailed cards (ok, she hoards them!), so I made some simpler cards that I hope she'll use!

I think you really can't go wrong with the Painted Petals set--everything I've made with it has turned out to be pretty! Get it before it retires on June 2!

You Rock!

We met for Stamp Club last night, and the theme was "Man Cards--Do you have yours?" {wink}

This rock print is probably my favorite in the whole Adventure Bound DSP Stack--so cool, and so great I just want to pet it! The background embossing reminded me of more river rocks, so I went with the theme. The "you" die cut and the "rock" sentiment are from the Crazy about You/Hello You Thinlits bundle. Get yours now!

Painted Blooms Beauty

Like many of you, I have a tendency to hoard  my favorite papers. We save them for just the right occasion, afraid to cut into them at all. Some have even--ahem!--been known to pet the most beautiful papers instead of creating with them.

But look what I did for you! I cut up this gorgeous sheet from Painted Blooms in a way that maximizes the number of cards you can make! I'm pretty proud of this, actually. There are other similar templates out there, but this one makes 8 cards.

I'll be sharing the samples on my Facebook business page, but here is a shot of all of them:

So go ahead, cut into that paper! Make it into something beautiful you can share! Painted Blooms DSP will retire on June 2, so don't miss out!

Etch-a-Sketch From the Herd

Etch-a-sketch technique from April's Stamp Club Meeting.

I have somewhat painful memories of the Etch-a-sketch. I was never patient enough to do anything with it but geometric wanderings. But stamping made it all possible here!

We stamped on Vellum Cardstock, then layered it over Smoky Slate Cardstock. To make the "frame," we used a square framelit and cut twice--just slide it over, keeping the borders the same. Then round the corners and attach to the image with dimensionals.

Pistachio Butterfly

The Pistachio Pudding color and all the accessories is retiring the first of June! I wanted to get this picture blogged before it was out of date. {smile} I love the DSP pattern you see behind the butterfly cutout. It's from the All Abloom DSP stack--it's still available, along with the Painted Petals stamp set, which contains the sentiment on this card.

Make-Your-Own Butterfly Stamps

Aren't these butterfly stamps great? They perfectly match the Butterflies Thinlits dies BECAUSE--
I made them from the dies. {smile}

Using your  Butterflies Thinlits, cut 2 butterfly images (one at a time) from fun foam. You may need to run them through 3-4 times to make sure they cut completely. Then carefully glue the two diecuts together and let dry. Rub some Tombo Multi glue onto the back of the fun foam and allow to dry overnight. Ta da! You have new stamps!

Use them as you would any photopolymer or clearmount stamps--just stick them on a block and stamp! Of course, you can do this with any die cuts you can make. What other dies do you think would work well?

Happy Mother's Day

We made this card at April's Stamp Club meeting. Not everyone needs a Mother's Day card, so some used birthday greetings or other sentiments. However you do it, Painted Petals is a wonderful stamp set for making watercolor-style floral cards. The coordinating Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper is gorgeous--every page a work of art!

In this photo, it's hard to see the tiny pearls at the center of the stamped flowers, but they add a nice bit texture. We inked up the flowers in Blackberry Bliss, then "pounced" Rose Red marker on them to give a little color variation.

Painted Blooms and Painted Petals will be gone after June 2, so get yours ordered now!

Coastal Cabana Butterflies

As with so many cards lately, this was not what I set out to make. But I still like it! I used 3 layers of butterfly cutouts--one from Basic Black, one from Coastal Cabana cardstock, and one from the Coastal Cabana polka dot print in the 2013-15 In Color DSP Stack.

The sentiment is cut with one of my favorite dies--the banner from the Gift Card Envelope Thinlit set. It fits so many sayings just perfectly! The background layer is from the Stacked with Love DSP stack, and I put a layer of Basic Black behind it to give it a frame against the white base.

Notice the black pearls? I colored them with a Sharpie! I felt like that little bit of black pulled the whole card together.
